Questions about lifestyles

By

A short post today but one about a topic that I think is important.

If you find yourself questioning someone else’s lifestyle or life choices, the answer to that question should almost always be “it’s none of my business.”

“How does that work,” I hear you ask. Well, let me give you a few real-world examples:

  • Someone has a different sexual preference than you? It’s probably none of your business.
  • Someone doesn’t practice the same religion as you? It’s probably none of your business.
  • Someone has an exercise program that is different than the one you do? It’s probably none of your business.
  • Someone is wearing clothes you or your friends wouldn’t be caught dead in? It’s probably none of your business.
  • Someone you aren’t married to or in a relationship with is pregnant? It’s probably none of your business. This one could be a jumping off point for a lot of things that are none of your business. Decisions about that pregnancy? None of your business. The choices they make in raising the child, should they have one? Also, none of your business. They’re breastfeeding that kid in public? None of your business.

I think you get where I’m going with this. Basically, mind your own business.
