Here’s a look at some of the things I thought were interesting this week, in no particular order:
Some of the social media responses to this new law in Oregon are just comedy gold. As are the responses to the responses. Makes me wonder what fairly commonplace issues I hold ridiculous opinions about.
I am always fascinated by stories about human migration. I won’t remotely be surprised if we find out that we’re wrong about when and how humans first came to North/South America.
This is an old article and one that doesn’t apply to me since I can’t buy lottery tickets where I live. But, for some reason, I really enjoy reading the articles about what you should do if you win.
Somebody in the Mississippi legislature thought it was a good use of time and resources to submit a bill that would designate blue as the official state color. Why? I’m not sure. I’m usually a fairly calm person but shit like that makes me want to pull my hair out.
This is unexpected and exciting news!
This is expected but yet still disappointing news.
I don’t care about The Bachelor. At all. But I thought this was an interesting video nonetheless.
Pretty good article about Rian Johnson deconstructing (or at least reevaluating) the accepted myths of the Star Wars universe.
Bureaucracy at its finest. Basically, your passport doesn’t expire when you think it expires. It expires three to six months before that.
